I find it incredibly disturbing that the webcam on my Mac is always staring at me and could be used by any programs. There are no physical switches to turn it off.
I find it even MORE incredibly disturbing that Adobe Flash can have access to my webcam if I allowed it to do so. Why would I EVER want a Flash program to watch me??
I am usually not too worried about privacy, as evidence by the crap I write about here on my blog, but the idea of a webcam and microphone looking at me every day is very creepy.
And no, the fact that the little green light is off does nothing to make me feel safer. I am pretty sure a clever computer wiz can one day find a hole that will allow them to access the little iSight webcams, turn off the little green light, and watch you while you sleep!!!
