This morning the lady at the toll booth got a bit testy with me because I drove across her Fastrak/Cash lane and my transmitter did not go off.
I’ve known for a long time that my Fastrak transmitter does not work. I also know that regardless if it works or not, they will automatically take a picture of your license plate and match it to your Fastrak account, so having a working transmitter is pointless.
So this begs the question… Why did I pay $50 for a transmitter? And why do we even need to carry transmitters when the lanes already have automatic photo tracking systems.
